AGNES to Host Maiden Network Seminar on Wednesday 21 January 2026
The African-German Network of Excellence in Science (AGNES) is delighted to announce its Maiden Network Seminar, scheduled for Wednesday, 21 January 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (WAT).
This landmark event marks the beginning of renewed engagement among AGNES members, grantees, mentors, alumni and prospective applicants across Sub-Saharan Africa. The seminar, themed “Reconnecting Excellence: Showcasing AGNES Impact and Inspiring the Next Generation of African Scientists,” will serve as a unifying platform to reconnect the AGNES community, share updates on the AGNES portfolio, and highlight the network’s expanding impact.

The seminar will also feature interactive discussions, updates on AGNES grants (Bayer, Junior Researcher, and Mobility Grants), and reflections from members on strengthening collaboration and engagement within the network.
