4 programmes to support qualified young scholars

AGNES-BAYER Science Foundation Research Grant

This Grant supports doctoral students from sub-Saharan Africa conducting research in biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture. The grant provides up to EUR 7,000 for research activities, including fieldwork, data collection and laboratory studies.

AGNES Junior Research Grant

It aims to nominate and grant top young male and female postdocs in all fields of science. Consideration of candidates is solely by nomination, and not through direct application. AGNES Founder Members may nominate up to three (3) excellent candidates who graduated with PhD of not more than four years ago, from the date of application.

AGNES Intra-Africa Mobility Grant

The grant aims to strengthen the scientific capacity and networking of young male and female researchers (doctoral students) from Sub Saharan Africa in all fields of science through active co-operation with experienced researchers in the same region.
