Meeting with MIASA staff

From 21 to 22 October 2019, Professor Bernd Kortmann, President of the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS; www.frias.uni-freiburg.de) welcomed Professor Romain Glèlè Kakaï, AGNES chairperson to FRIAS (Freiburg, Germany). The latter had meetings with the staff of MIASA (Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa Maria Sibylla Merian, www.ug.edu.gh/mias-Africa), namely Prof. Dr. Bernd Kortmann, Prof. Dr. Andreas Mehler et Dr Annika Hampel on a possible collaboration with AGNES in the field of humanities and social sciences.

As part of this partnership, AGNES is committed to spread MIASA fellowships calls for applications (https://bit.ly/32IOA92) in its network. AGNES members are eligible and can serve as reviewers. Following the meeting, MIASA has agreed to extend the deadline of the 2019 MIASA call for application in humanities and social sciences to November 15th exclusively for AGNES members.
